Membership at the EXAA Electricity Spot Market

EXAA settles and clear exchange trades in electricity products on behalf of Wiener Börse as a general commodity exchange. Therefore, companies that desire to take part in trading on the energy exchange must become members of Wiener Börse. A requirement for such membership under the Austrian Stock Exchange Act prescribes that a member must be commercially involved in the electricity business.
To become an exchange member, it is also required to set up a balance group in Austria or a balance group circle in one of the two German control areas RWE or E.ON, or become a member of such.
