Membership in the EXAA Spotmarket CO2

EXAA operates exchange trading in emissions certificates on behalf of Wiener Börse in its function as a general commodity exchange. Companies who wish to take part in trading on the environmental exchange must therefore become members.
The following entities may be admitted as members to CO2 trading:

• Companies whose business is related to the products traded on the CO2 spot market or in electric energy products
• Companies listed in the national allocation plan (NAP)
• Members of foreign electricity exchanges or environmental (product) exchanges
• Credit institutions pursuant to Art. 1 par. 1 Austrian Banking Act or credit institutions from EU member states other than Austria or recognized investment firms with their registered office in other EEA member states.
